Thank you

I give thanks to my God at every remembrance of you, praying always with joy in my every prayer for all of you for the Gospel from the first day until now.    Philippians 1:3, 4

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the parishioners of St. Stephen Parish for the wonderful retirement party you gave me last night. I was humbled and overwhelmed at the generosity, love and kindness expressed by all. It has been my honor and privilege to have served as your Pastoral Associate for the past 16 years. As I continue on my journey, I will never forget the special moments and friendships I have made along the way. My sincere thanks to Fr. Paulson for his generous gift and for bringing new life and renewed joy to our parish. To the members of the Stewardship Committee: Your hard work on the party and many other projects is an example of the spirit that is the heart of St. Stephen. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Thank you to our wonderful and talented entertainers: Faith Jacobs & Jade Leavenworth, who performed a tap dance; Lisa and Sarafina Falakaono, who performed a Tongan farewell dance, and Nick Nguyen who read a poem he composed for the occasion. Although I have retired, I will be serving in the background to help Fr. Paulson during this transition and occasionally presenting a spiritual evening or retreat. I will also continue to write for the weekly bulletin. Once again, thank you to everyone here at St. Stephen Parish. You are truly the Body of Christ personified.

Blessings,

Annette Roux, Pastoral Associate, (Ret.)
